This page explains how BriefNepal produces and maintains its content — what we aggregate, what we write ourselves, and how we fix mistakes.
How BriefNepal works
BriefNepal has two kinds of content. Our news section aggregates headlines and short excerpts from established Nepali and international publishers; every story links prominently to the original source, where the full article lives. We add no editorial spin to aggregated headlines. Our Travel section, tools and rates pages are original, produced and maintained by BriefNepal.
Sourcing & attribution
- Every aggregated headline names its source and links to the original article.
- Excerpts are kept short; we never republish full third-party articles.
- Publishers can request changes or removal at any time via our takedown page — see also our copyright policy.
Original content standards (Travel Desk)
- Travel guides are researched against official sources (Department of Immigration, national park and permit authorities) and current operator pricing, with costs stated in Nepali rupees (NPR).
- Every guide shows a visible "Updated" date that reflects its latest real revision.
- Costs, permit rules and seasonal advice are reviewed and refreshed regularly; the Trekking Cost Index is kept in step with each trek's cost guide.
Corrections
We fix errors quickly. If you spot a mistake — in a travel guide, a rate, a tool result or an aggregated headline — email us via the contact page. Verified factual errors in our original content are corrected promptly, and the page's "Updated" date reflects the revision. For errors in aggregated headlines we correct our excerpt and, where appropriate, note the change; the original publisher's article remains their responsibility.
Independence & advertising
Advertising (Google AdSense) and any affiliate links never influence what we cover or what our guides recommend. Sponsored or paid placements, if any, are labelled.
